About the position

The IT Project Manager (Operating Systems) position within the Department of Defense is responsible for developing, deploying, and sustaining industrial control systems (ICSs) and mission control systems (MCSs). This role involves managing IT project work plans, schedules, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements and quality assurance processes. The position requires a strong understanding of IT project management within a government context, particularly in relation to sensitive security environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, deploys, and sustains industrial control systems (ICSs) and mission control systems (MCSs).
  • Creates and reviews IT project work plans, schedules, and documentation for submission to the IT Program Manager.
  • Performs annual and semiannual COMSEC equipment inventories.
  • Acts as the primary interface for the Cybersecurity Division for all network-level equipment.
  • Implements quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet specified requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in IT project management.
  • Experience in deploying and sustaining industrial control systems (ICSs) and mission control systems (MCSs).
  • Ability to develop and review IT project work plans and schedules.
  • Experience responding to Information Systems Security Manager's requests for information.

Nice-to-haves
