About the position

The IT Project Manager at the Dam Neck Naval Facility is responsible for planning and implementing IT systems and network requirements to meet command objectives. This role involves providing guidance on operational and contingency planning, maintaining IT infrastructure mapping, and serving as the primary liaison to contract site leads. The position requires initiating proposals for new equipment and systems to satisfy both short- and long-term network and software requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement IT systems and network requirements to meet command objectives.
• Provide guidance on operational and contingency planning to functional users.
• Coordinate changes to programs necessitated by technological upgrades.
• Maintain central repository currency of IT infrastructure mapping and circuit diagrams.
• Serve as the primary liaison to contract site leads, ensuring contract deliverables are met.
• Initiate new equipment and system proposals to satisfy network and software requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Experience isolating and defining unprecedented conditions and resolving critical IT/IM issues.
• Skill in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
