About the position

The IT Project Manager (PLCYPLN) will oversee high-level matrix project management for the Department of Navy's Ordnance Information Systems (OIS). This role involves planning, directing, coordinating, and managing enterprise-level IT programs and projects, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and preparing presentations for management. The position is based at the Naval Support Activity in Mechanicsburg, PA, and offers telework options at management's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage enterprise-level IT programs and projects.
• Assign tasks and provide guidance to subordinates.
• Determine resources needed to accomplish project objectives.
• Manage project funds, set schedules, and determine the course of action for the Command.
• Ensure applicable project life cycle documentation is developed and maintained in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Manage a wide range of complex IT initiatives and technologies involving software development lifecycle and software modernization.
• Prepare and present briefings on all aspects of projects to all levels of management.

Requirements

• One year of information technology-related experience in the federal service or private/public sector demonstrating competencies in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving.
• Specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 level in IT project management, including planning, organizing, monitoring, and executing complex IT projects.
• Mastery knowledge of IT systems policies, procedures, and regulations used in IT project management.
