About the position

The IT Project Manager (PLCYPLN) position at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command involves managing and overseeing multiple PMW Systems, focusing on the cost, schedule, and performance of complex Command and Control systems. The role requires expertise in Communications, Computers, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Information Warfare systems, ensuring their delivery onboard U.S. Navy units. The IT Project Manager will lead problem-solving initiatives, provide project status reports to senior leadership, and engage with financial managers for project funding.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple PMW Systems as an IT Project Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Ensure cost, schedule, and performance of complex Command and Control systems.
• Oversee the delivery of C4ISR Information Warfare systems onboard U.S. Navy units.
• Identify solutions to problems and lead corrective actions involving government and contractor personnel.
• Provide project status reports and briefings to GS15/O6 leadership.
• Validate cost estimates and engage with Business Financial Managers for project funding.
• Provide technical recommendations to Contracting Officers.

Requirements

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance for complex IT, IW, and C4ISR projects.
• Effective use of Risk Management and Earned Value Management Systems.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
