About the position

The IT Project Manager (PMO) will oversee and manage information technology projects, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams. This role involves defining project goals, objectives, and scope while ensuring adherence to timelines, resources, and budgets. The IT Project Manager will deliver major IT system projects and support the Project Management Office (PMO) with communications and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure project deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and within budget.
  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders to define needs or problems and provide appropriate recommendations for possible solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project resources, IT leadership, and vendors.
  • Define, manage, and implement highly visible integration projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external technology teams to ensure functional requirements are reflected in the final solution.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Build consensus among multiple project leads relative to project scope, task execution, staffing, and issue resolution.
  • Interact with project sponsors, stakeholders, and various project members to ensure that specified business needs are met; assist in post-implementation analysis to ensure that requirements are fulfilled.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least two years of experience leading IT projects, or six years for non-degreed candidates.
  • Proficient in Project Management Tools and Applications.
  • Experience in Scheduling and Time Management.
  • Knowledge of IT Operations, Systems, or Infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Project Management Office processes, communications, and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five years of experience in a project management role.
  • Experience with analytics and ERP projects.
