About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead multiple full life cycle implementations using agile methodologies. The role involves managing complex projects that include cloud, CRM, and Oracle systems, while coordinating with large teams and senior stakeholders. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects through the project lifecycle including Planning and Analysis, Execution, Solution Deployment, and Benefit realization.
• Manage deliverables, scope, and quality of projects.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project.
• Guide and motivate team members, managing resources effectively.
• Align project requirements and priorities with organizational objectives.
• Manage project schedules and execute according to the strategy/plan.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings and prepare meeting materials.
• Collaborate with project/program managers and SMEs to gather requirements and maintain WBS.
• Provide consistent updates to stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading multiple application integrations and managing people, processes, and technologies throughout project life cycles.
• Proficiency in managing application delivery teams using agile frameworks and familiarity with waterfall frameworks.
• Experience engaging stakeholders to capture and prioritize business needs.
• Knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Project and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM).
• Agile Certification (PMI_ACP, CSM).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and training.
• Change Management Professional certification (Prosci or equivalent).
• Experience managing IT change processes, training, and go-live support.
• Familiarity with advanced project scheduling and risk analysis techniques.
• Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tools or comparable.
