About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead multiple full life cycle implementations using agile methodologies. The role involves managing IT projects through various phases including planning, execution, and deployment, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly in IT, and will be responsible for resource management, risk mitigation, and delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects through the project lifecycle including Planning and Analysis, Execution, and Solution Deployment.
• Manage deliverables, scope, and quality of projects.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Guide and motivate team members while managing resources effectively.
• Align project requirements and priorities with organizational objectives.
• Manage project schedules and execute according to the strategy/plan.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings and prepare meeting materials.
• Collaborate with project/program managers and SMEs to gather requirements and maintain WBS.
• Provide consistent updates to stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 8 years of project management experience, particularly in IT.
• Experience leading multiple application integrations and managing teams throughout project life cycles.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and waterfall methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Experience with project management software tools and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM).
• Agile Certification (PMI-ACP, CSM).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and training.
• Change Management Professional certification (Prosci or equivalent).
• Experience managing IT change processes and training.
