About the position

Kforce is seeking an IT Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead and guide Agile development teams for our client in Frisco, TX. This is a hybrid role that requires a blend of traditional project management expertise and a deep understanding of Scrum principles and practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing complex IT projects while acting as a servant leader for their teams. This role promotes collaboration, continuous improvement, and adherence to Agile values, ensuring that project goals align with business objectives and strategic goals. In this position, you will develop comprehensive project plans that break down projects into manageable phases and tasks, assigning responsibilities to team members. You will utilize project management methodologies and tools to track progress, identify potential risks or issues, and manage project timelines and resource allocation to optimize outcomes. Following Agile development practices is essential to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Stakeholder management is a critical aspect of this role. You will establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management. Gathering and analyzing stakeholder requirements will be necessary to ensure alignment with project goals, while managing expectations and addressing concerns promptly to maintain project momentum and satisfaction. As a team leader, you will provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members, empowering them to achieve their goals. Motivating and inspiring team members to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results is key. You will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, and prioritizing potential project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective strategies to mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise. Facilitating all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that Agile practices are followed and that the team remains focused and productive.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM, A-CSM) or Certified/Professional Scrum Trainer (CST, PST); PMP Certification is desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years of experience managing complex projects across multiple departments.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects within budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile Development frameworks) and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Proficient in project planning and usage of scheduling software.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex project challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and resilience to handle unexpected changes and maintain project momentum.
