About the position

The IT Project Manager position at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is a critical role that supports the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) in Doral, FL. This position requires a candidate with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning and managing various customer-facing IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. The role involves facilitating, managing, and executing project activities that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance, migration, and other analyses of projects. The IT Project Manager will work closely with the Program's Project Portfolio Manager and government clients to develop project estimates, including schedules, cost estimates, materials, and services. The projects assigned may vary in scope and size, requiring coordination with various engineering teams, vendors, customers, and other non-GDIT personnel. The successful candidate will design and develop project baseline schedules, support the implementation and maintenance of integrated master schedules (IMS), and work breakdown structures (WBS). Monitoring and maintaining the status of schedule progress is essential, as is effective communication with staff members and clients to ensure accurate schedule developments and updates.
