About the position

The IT Project Manager (Senior Technologist) will be responsible for performing business process analysis, needs assessment, and design of IT solutions. Responsibilities include coordinating/facilitating activities between IT and other internal departments or vendors to ensure the integration of citywide technology systems, as well as serving as a resource to internal departments in the planning, development, and control of data systems and workplace automation. This Senior Technologist may supervise lower-level IT staff, as yet to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Perform business process analysis and needs assessment.
• Design IT solutions.
• Coordinate activities between IT and other internal departments or vendors.
• Ensure integration of citywide technology systems.
• Serve as a resource to internal departments in planning, development, and control of data systems.
• Supervise lower-level IT staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible, professional Information Technology experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• PMP certification is ideal.
• Strong scheduling, PowerPoint, Monday.com, and other project management skills.
• Ability to understand the entire project management lifecycle.
• Valid California Driver's License.
