About the position

As an IT Project Manager (Subject Matter Expert) at TeamWorx Security, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering complex projects within the cybersecurity domain. This full-time position is based in Columbia, Maryland, and requires active engagement with senior decision-makers both within the company and among our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the needs and challenges faced by our customers, ensuring that their desired outcomes are met through effective project management and communication. You will be expected to leverage your technical proficiency to present information clearly to both technical and business leaders, making you a competent public speaker in various settings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of technical experts, including senior software engineers and cyber specialists, to drive value and business impact. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, resources, scheduling, and budget tracking. Regular communication with customers and key stakeholders will be essential to keep them informed about project priorities, timelines, and deliverables. You will also be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans and ensuring that they are executed effectively with the approval of all relevant parties. Your success will depend on your ability to manage the design, development, and delivery of a highly technical platform, incorporating input from various stakeholders. You will be tasked with producing monthly status reports and ad hoc updates for stakeholder review, ensuring that all project factors align with time, cost, and quality parameters. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a team of technical experts, senior software engineers, cyber experts, and company managers to drive value and business impact.
• Manage scope, resources, scheduling, budget tracking, and supervision of personnel on assigned projects for customer delivery.
• Communicate regularly with customers and key stakeholders regarding priorities, timelines, and expected deliverables.
• Develop project plans and communicate plans with customer stakeholders and internal teams for approval and execution.
• Develop and deliver monthly status and ad hoc reports for stakeholder review.
• Manage all factors that govern project success, ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Manage the design, development, and delivery of a highly technical platform with input from various customer and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant industry or military experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervising a team of 10 or more people and at least 4 years experience supervising other managers.
• Minimum 3 years of cyber mission or cyber training environment experience required.
• Minimum 7 years of project or contract management experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience working with the military, DoD, Federal government, and/or the cyber security industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager for a US Government contract.
• Familiar with the management of deliverables, budget, labor hours, labor categories, key personnel, and billing.
• Demonstrated ability to present ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with DHS, CISA or other federal law enforcement agencies is a plus!

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a startup environment.

• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).
