About the position

The IT Project Manager (SYSANALYSIS) position at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) involves serving as a senior systems analyst within the Information Operations (J6) Program Executive Office (J62). The role focuses on managing complex IT systems assignments, including the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of critical software systems. The incumbent will work closely with stakeholders to formulate requirements, assess impacts, and ensure project deliverables align with organizational goals, particularly in achieving audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior systems analyst within the DLA's J62 portfolio.
• Perform complex IT systems assignments related to software development and integration services.
• Collaborate with customer functional proponents to formulate system requirements.
• Conduct impact analysis and level of effort assessments for system changes.
• Assist in the evaluation and integration of commercial and government solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resources for IT/OT projects.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders regarding project scope, schedules, and status.
• Support DLA audit readiness goals and objectives.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in IT project management.
• Expert skill in applying IT/OT program and project management policies and practices.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplined project teams and negotiate for project resources.
• Experience in monitoring IT/OT project activities and solving project problems.
• Demonstrated competencies in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Automated Information Systems (AIS).
• Familiarity with government and private sector information systems technologies.
