About the position

CACI is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead the replacement of 7,500 workstations (desktops/laptops) and mobile devices across 11 CONUS regional sites and 5 facilities in the National Capitol Region. This position will be responsible for overseeing a team of 15 to 20 technicians, schedulers, and asset specialists, performing hardware and software tasks face-to-face with users in a fast-paced environment. Each legacy device will be replaced with a brand new system, both utilizing Win11 OS, however customers will be moving to a new Modern Workplace configuration and receive a new Apple mobile device. Candidates will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle ensuring new and legacy devices are inventoried, schedules developed and maintained, and technicians ensure that customers have access to all M365 services across workstations and mobile devices. Providing the highest level of customer satisfaction is critical for project success. This position is full-time onsite in Arlington, VA and Lorton, VA and limited continental US travel. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, management, coordination, and execution of the refresh project activities. This includes managing technicians and support team schedules to ensure fast-paced delivery of services. The role involves overseeing and managing end-to-end project delivery, which includes unboxing, labeling, and tagging PC/mobile devices, coordinating asset delivery activities, configuring PCs and mobile devices, testing and validating with customers, and ensuring the proper disposal of legacy equipment. The Project Manager will also respond in a timely manner to tickets and work orders, troubleshoot to diagnose issues, and replace or swap out equipment as necessary. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for the creation of project deliverables such as project plans, requirements, and schedules, while working cooperatively with engineering leads to plan and direct project tasks. Managing project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining detailed project schedules are also key responsibilities. All work will be tracked and managed via ServiceNow, and effective communication with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the replacement of 7,500 workstations and mobile devices across multiple sites.
  • Oversee a team of 15 to 20 technicians, schedulers, and asset specialists.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from planning to execution.
  • Ensure new and legacy devices are inventoried and schedules are developed and maintained.
  • Provide access to all M365 services across workstations and mobile devices for customers.
  • Coordinate asset delivery activities and configuration of PCs and mobile devices.
  • Test and validate customer log-on, application installation, and printing capabilities.
  • Wipe, decommission, and dispose of legacy equipment responsibly.
  • Respond to tickets and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, replacing or swapping out equipment as necessary.
  • Create project deliverables including project plans, requirements, and schedules.
  • Work cooperatively with engineering leads to plan and direct project tasks.
  • Manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Track and manage all work via ServiceNow.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD).
  • 5 or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing technology refresh projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10 years of experience in a technical environment (BA can be substituted for an AA + 12 years of experience or no BA and 16 years of experience).
  • Previous experience developing templates, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
