The Project Manager for data transformation serves as the central point of coordination and delivery for our important new Business Intelligence (BI) transformation, specifically involving technologies such as Looker, dbt, and BigQuery. This role is critical in driving the delivery of high-quality BI solutions, managing a cross-functional team, and ensuring the timely execution of projects while adhering to budget and scope constraints. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of data models in the semantic layer to enable self-service BI for our users. This includes ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards. As the main point of contact for project stakeholders, the Project Manager will maintain clear and regular communication about project progress, risks, and issues. This involves liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and that tasks are appropriately delegated and executed. The Project Manager will proactively identify and manage risks and issues that could impact project delivery, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies as necessary. An ongoing review of project risks, issues, and dependencies will be essential to foster a collaborative environment within the Data Platform Team and other associated departments. Working in an Agile environment that focuses on collaboration and teamwork, the Project Manager will facilitate communication and cooperation to ensure all team members are engaged and contributing to program success. It is crucial that all deliverables adhere to quality standards and fulfill the requirements set out by the organization and clients. The Project Manager will also implement measures to monitor and enhance the quality of the solutions, regularly reporting project progress, issues, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders to ensure transparency and visibility of the program's status and performance.
