About the position

The IT Project Manager position is a contractor role focused on managing projects within the Administrative Applications Production Data Services team, specifically for the development and implementation of modifications and enhancements to the Financial Data Warehouse. The role requires expertise in project management, particularly within Agile frameworks, and involves close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating project documentation, providing technical support, and communicating complex technical designs and business processes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific project.
• Implement standard project management practices for Agile teams.
• Establish project organization and methodology within Agile (Scrum) environments.
• Understand business and technical objectives of the project and work closely with stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with clients and IT teams.
• Create project charters, work plans, and other related project artifacts.
• Provide technical support during work hours and on-call as necessary.
• Develop and deliver presentations to leadership and oversight entities.

Requirements

• 6 years of project management experience for large-scale enterprise implementations.
• 6 years of State of Texas or similar Federal/State project management experience.
• 3 years of Agile (Scrum) experience.
• 3 years of development experience.
• 3 years of Jira experience.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP Certification (1 year preferred).
• Experience with State of Texas Project Delivery Framework (1 year preferred).
• Experience with data warehouse applications and/or database reporting features (1 year preferred).
• State Procurement and Contracting experience (1 year preferred).
