About the position

The IT Project Manager - Workday at Kforce is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of the Workday implementation project. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery while adhering to quality standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Workday implementation project from initiation to closure.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and address risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including business leaders, HR, IT teams, and external vendors, to define project requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, manage workload distribution, and ensure team members have the support and resources needed to succeed.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants involved in the Workday implementation, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the Workday solution meets business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support organizational adoption of the new Workday system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on Workday implementations.
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong understanding of Workday functionality, configuration, and integration capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
