About the position

The IT Project Manager at BCforward is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of projects of moderate to high complexity across multiple departments. This role involves planning, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of project deliverables while managing risks and stakeholder communications. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide teams and facilitate collaboration to meet project objectives within defined timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams.
  • Communicates the work objectives, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance with standards, and provides end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables.
  • Ensures execution and delivery meet the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.
  • Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery - e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc.
  • Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables.
  • Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline.
  • Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders.
  • Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards.
  • Supports resource planning for delivery/execution.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of project management experience.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Accountability for developing plans to deliver future state approaches and facilitating implementation.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and solution design.
  • Strong presentation skills, including preparing compelling presentations to senior-level executives.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and lead meetings effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management standards and processes in a complex program environment.
  • Experience working in SOR development.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, Agile, and waterfall frameworks.
