About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee software development, implementation, and integration projects for a client in Eugene, OR. This full-time, onsite role requires local candidates or those willing to relocate. The selected candidate will collaborate with business partners, internal teams, and vendors to ensure project success, requiring a deep understanding of business objectives and project details.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, track, identify, and communicate project tasks, status, risks, and issues.
  • Define contingency and mitigation plans.
  • Develop and update project plans.
  • Facilitate estimating effort for project tasks.
  • Update project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Deliver end-to-end solution design with business partner alignment.
  • Bring project decisions to business partners and the project team, outlining options and facilitating decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business partners, software developers, interface engineers, infrastructure teams, and third-party partners to accomplish project objectives.
  • Prepare outline and approach for required user training and collaborate with analysts and business partners to deliver training.
  • Lead acquisition projects to migrate data and infrastructure.
  • Update and improve the acquisitions playbook.

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience working on software development and implementation projects.
  • Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and/or web-delivered applications.
  • Experience leading projects with code development and configurations.
  • Experience managing projects from kick-off to go live.
  • Understanding of, or direct experience with, data conversions.
  • Understanding of, or direct experience with, core business functions such as eCommerce, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Sales, Purchasing, and General Ledger.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bonus for experience in dealership functions, rentals, fleet service, vehicle sales, and parts sales counter processes.
  • Strong skills/experience in people leading, mentoring, verbal and written communication, collaboration, organization, time management, analysis, critical thinking, and collaboration.
