About the position

The Project Manager at BCS365 is tasked with overseeing multiple client IT projects that vary in size and complexity, ensuring that each project is managed effectively from the opportunity stage through to project closure. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle, including scope, time, and budget constraints. The Project Manager will act as the primary facilitator for communication among stakeholders, which includes clients, internal teams, and external vendors or partners. Success in this position hinges on the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with both internal and client technical teams to drive project execution successfully. In this role, the Project Manager will coordinate and manage the activities of the project team, indirectly overseeing resources and schedules to ensure timely project completion. The individual will handle multiple technical projects that are moderate in size and complexity, performing essential project management tasks such as drafting project documents, facilitating meetings, and coordinating overall project activities. This includes planning and sequencing work, setting milestones and deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders. The Project Manager will also be responsible for identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies, as well as authoring and implementing contingency plans. They will work to resolve issues and obstacles, escalating them as necessary to the Lead Project Manager, Lead Project Engineer, CTO, or immediate supervisor. Adherence to project change management processes and budget tracking for assigned projects will also be key responsibilities. The Project Manager will contribute to the ServiceNow project management process and ensure that projects are completed in accordance with the established governance processes. Additionally, they will focus on improving team performance by fostering cohesiveness and motivation within the project team, ultimately enhancing project efficiency and morale. Regular status updates, dashboards, and project reports will be established and provided to stakeholders to track progress and resolve any budget or schedule variances.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages activities of the project team, controlling the indirect management of resources and schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Works on multiple diverse technical projects of moderate size, scope, and complexity.
  • Performs project management tasks including drafting project documents, establishing and facilitating meetings of cross-functional work groups and project steering committees, overall project coordination, including planning and sequencing work, setting milestones and deadlines, assigning responsibilities and providing status updates.
  • Responsible for identifying project risks, mitigation strategies, authoring and implementing contingency plans.
  • Identifies and works to resolve issues and obstacles, escalating where necessary for resolution to Lead Project Manager, Lead Project Engineer, CTO, and/or immediate supervisor.
  • Responsible for adhering to and communicating project change management.
  • Responsible for project budgeting including project cost tracking for assigned projects.
  • Provides input into ServiceNow project management process, project templates and works within the project governance process.
  • Responsible for ensuring the completion of projects through ServiceNow process.
  • Improve project team performance by building team cohesiveness and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale.
  • Establish and provide weekly status, dashboards and project updates.
  • Track, report and resolve project budget and schedule variances.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrates willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Possesses a good understanding in the areas of core solution offerings in voice, data, wireless, network, cloud, and security, along with the team's capabilities.
  • Demonstrated competence using Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
