About the position

LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Sr. IT Project Manager for a 6-month contract to hire opportunity in Central Illinois. The role involves overseeing IT projects, managing resources, and ensuring project deliverables are met using various project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple maintenance and development projects simultaneously.
• Direct internal developers and vendor development teams.
• Coordinate meetings, timelines, communications, and project expectations.
• Develop project plans and establish timelines.
• Create project deliverables using project management software.
• Implement risk management strategies for maintenance, support, and application development projects.
• Lead teams by placing employees on appropriate projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience with risk management related to maintenance, support, and application development projects.
• Proficiency in MS Project or other project management tools.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to manage requirements related to project deliverables.
• Strong documentation and implementation skills for maintenance and support.
• Team leadership experience.
