IT Project Manager

About the position

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager for our customer in the Greater Boston area on a 6 Month Contract to Hire opportunity. This person will have a strong background in managing application-focused projects, while also possessing experience in software and infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Microsoft Project and Smartsheet for project tracking and will oversee Scrum and Sprint cycles within Jira. This role requires collaboration with IT teams daily, with occasional interaction with Marketing and Sales (once per month). Experience with manufacturing ERP and CRM systems is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IT projects, with a primary focus on enterprise applications while ensuring smooth integration with software and infrastructure initiatives.
• Utilize Microsoft Project and Smartsheet for project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
• Oversee Scrum and Sprint cycles using Jira, ensuring Agile best practices are followed.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams, including developers, business analysts, and system administrators, to drive project success.
• Communicate with Marketing and Sales teams once per month to align project objectives with business needs.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Work onsite three days per week to foster collaboration and maintain project momentum.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align technology projects with business strategy.

Requirements

• 3+ years of IT project management experience, specifically with enterprise applications.
• Proven experience managing software and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Smartsheet for project tracking.
• Hands-on experience with Scrum and Sprint cycles in Jira.
• Strong understanding of ERP and CRM systems in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite three days per week with a hybrid flexibility model.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP, CSM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
