About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee technical IT projects, ensuring successful execution from initiation through closeout. This role involves leading Agile ceremonies, developing and maintaining resource-loaded schedules, and facilitating communication between developers and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex project management and will report to the ServiceNow Development Manager, working closely with a team of ServiceNow Developers and other project personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all areas of Project Management from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain a resource-loaded schedule.
  • Define tasks, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with project leadership and development teams.
  • Determine resourcing needs and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Track the project's critical path and report schedule updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop scheduling status reports and maintain program documentation.
  • Interact daily with technical leads and client personnel to provide schedule status data.
  • Oversee individual IT projects from requirements identification to production support.
  • Document and manage all issues and risks, maintaining a risk register and mitigation plan.
  • Facilitate necessary meetings for requirements gathering, design reviews, and project closeout.
  • Provide recommendations for process development and improvement.
  • Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare and present briefing materials to staff and federal customers.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent + 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager.
  • Direct scheduling experience, preferably on large Government contracts.
  • Expertise in MS Project and experience with Kanban boards and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

  • SAFe Agile Certified Scrum Master certification.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Other IT technical certifications.
  • PMP certification.
