About the position

The IT Project Manager will lead various IT projects, ensuring smooth progress and alignment with strategic goals. This role requires excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English to coordinate between teams based in Japan and stakeholders in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in problem-solving and project management, with a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resources to align with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders at different levels to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
• Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and achieving project milestones.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Provide regular progress reports to upper management and stakeholders, communicating project status, challenges, and successes.
• Act as a cultural bridge between Japanese and American teams, promoting smooth cooperation and understanding.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in IT or a related field.
• Proven track record of bilingual project management across diverse teams.
• Demonstrated success in executing and completing projects.
• Fluency in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking) and English (reading, writing, and speaking) for effective communication.
• Project management skills including experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective relationship management.
