About the position

The IT Project Manager at NAVSUP Business Systems Center is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of IT processes and methodologies, as well as the ability to lead implementation activities and develop metrics for higher-level leadership. The position involves conducting in-depth analyses to resolve significant issues impacting supply support programs across various agencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications/systems.
• Conduct testing and evaluation of vendor software.
• Lead implementation activities and develop metrics and reports for higher-level leadership.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to resolve major problems and issues affecting supply support programs and operations.

Requirements

• One year of information technology-related experience in the federal service or private/public sector.
• Demonstrated competencies in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level, including developing and implementing product release plans and establishing IT policy.
• Experience in coordinating requirements and conducting analytical studies for cost estimates.
• Ability to monitor project progress and ensure timely communication with management and stakeholders.
• Experience in briefing and resolving problems as they arise.
• Ability to execute projects within agreed-upon cost, schedule, and scope.
• Experience in identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
