About the position

The IT Project Manager at Acme Tools is responsible for overseeing and managing IT projects from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and organizational skills to enhance technology use through effective communication and superior service. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with various IT teams, define project scopes, and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining detailed schedules and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain IT project plans in collaboration with IT leadership.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines for successful IT project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with various IT teams to plan and complete projects.
  • Determine necessary project resources and manage materials for successful project deliverables.
  • Communicate project scope, status updates, and changes with internal IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and manage risks.
  • Provide reporting and metrics related to IT project delivery.
  • Create and maintain project documentation throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate daily with project teams to ensure team members have the tools to deliver positive end-user experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in IT project management with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project.
