About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position that requires a seasoned professional to manage complex regulatory-driven technology projects across multiple technology, operations, and business units. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning and driving the delivery of technology project/small program deliverables, which necessitates the engagement of multiple teams. The role involves communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables while managing project risk and compliance to standards. The IT Project Manager will take on numerous diverse responsibilities, necessitating close partnership with senior business and technology managers. They will manage multiple projects across related technology teams and must be structured and disciplined in their project management approach, adhering to all organizational requirements related to governance, project tracking, SDLC process, and risk management. The role includes leading and coordinating routines to support delivery, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates. The IT Project Manager will also facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support deliverable completion and timelines, providing status updates to stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks, issues, and schedules. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will work with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution aligns with deliverable requirements and support resource planning for delivery and execution. They will ensure adherence to Enterprise Change Management standards, making this role critical in the successful delivery of technology projects within the financial sector.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning and driving the delivery of technology project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams
  • Communicate work objectives, coordinate delivery, facilitate sync points across teams, provide end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and manage project risk and compliance to standards
  • Be a hands-on project manager supporting multiple workstreams across the Regulatory Reporting program
  • Manage complex regulatory-driven technology projects across multiple technology, operations, and business units
  • Manage multiple projects across multiple related technology teams
  • Be structured and disciplined in their project management approach, including adhering to all organizational requirements related to governance, project tracking, SDLC process, risk management, etc.
  • Lead and coordinate routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
  • Manage coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Provide status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
  • Work with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
  • Support resource planning for delivery and execution
  • Ensure adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years' of Technology Project Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong knowledge of agile delivery
  • Strong knowledge of change management [tollgate, risk, issue, change controls]
  • Regulatory reporting and/or data technology projects knowledge is a plus
  • People of high caliber and analytic thinkers
  • Strong executive communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership
  • Able to negotiate with multiple parties and find acceptable compromise
  • Able to manage in a time-constrained environment
  • Able to structure a project, its tasks and its challenges in order to clearly understand the tasks and accountability of the project, the status of the project, the risks/ issues/ dependencies of the project
  • Someone who has used technology to deliver a significant 'enterprise-scale' project in the past and saw it through to delivery
  • Someone who challenges the conclusions, and provides alternatives
  • Seasoned in project management and a self-starter, capable of working independently and coordinate efforts across multiple technology teams and across multiple projects
  • Have technology project delivery knowledge across banking space
  • Regulatory reporting experience and/or data technology project experience
