The Senior Project Manager role in the IT PMO at Beacon Hill Staffing Group is a pivotal position responsible for the assessment and successful implementation of large-scale IT and Business Change projects. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the defined scope. A strong delivery focus is essential, as the Senior Project Manager will be tasked with establishing and managing the appropriate structures, governance, roles, and communication channels necessary for project success. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will develop and update project plans, budgets, and resource plans to facilitate effective project execution and support business case submissions. This includes performing assessments and due diligence on business cases, ensuring they are reviewed by other Project Managers or PMO leadership. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing and proactively reporting on various project elements, including plans, budgets, scope, resources, project decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies. Maintaining and presenting project metrics to senior management is also a key responsibility. The position requires managing relationships and overall engagement with implementation partners, vendors, and all stakeholders involved in the projects. The Senior Project Manager will provide insights on the overall business value of projects, leveraging their experience to help the team achieve stated objectives, benefits, and return on investment (ROI). Additionally, the role involves advising on change management and adoption, as well as assisting in tracking post-implementation benefits as appropriate. The Senior Project Manager will ensure a full handover to operational support and maintenance teams and will be responsible for closing out projects, ensuring all deliverables are completed and approved. Active involvement in process improvement activities within the Project Management group is expected, along with providing coaching, mentoring, and personal development for others as required. The Senior Project Manager will manage projects of all sizes, including portfolios or programs across all service lines, and may also be involved in the development of business cases as needed.
