About the position

The IT Project Manager at TruGreen is responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of IT projects. This role ensures alignment with the organization's strategy and goals, managing multiple complex projects while collaborating with internal and external partners. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to guide project teams and deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and control of multiple large or highly complex IT projects.
  • Establish work plans for each project phase and direct project team members.
  • Assign tasks, goals, and responsibilities to project team members.
  • Serve as a liaison between project team members, business partners, and technical resources.
  • Provide ongoing strategic direction and budgeting to the project team.
  • Track progress and update project management software and communication logs.
  • Report issues, delays, and developments that may affect project completion.
  • Establish plans to mitigate project risks and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to project governance processes and facilitate resource sharing.
  • Assist with documenting policies, controls, and processes established by the PMO.
  • Produce project status reports and baseline expectations for project management processes.
  • Evaluate and improve the Project Management Methodology utilized by the PMO.
  • Travel to project sites to document operations and assess site needs (less than 20% travel).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-6 years of project management experience.
  • 1-3 years of IT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience with data mapping and integration activities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Organizational, project, and process management skills.
  • Leadership skills and ability to operate independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Business process analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
