This position assists CONMED business leaders, IT leaders, and project teams to define, scope, prioritize, approve, execute, and close IT-related projects. The Project Manager will partner with one or more IT Business Partners who support a set of business areas and will also support internal PMO operations. This is accomplished by maintaining the “IT Project Playbook”, providing training and coaching to Playbook users, compiling and analyzing data related to projects and portfolios, facilitating meetings and events, and providing expert project & portfolio advice to business leaders, IT leaders, and project team members. Project managers may also, at the discretion of the PMO Director, oversee or manage strategic programs. Key Duties and Responsibilities include enhancing and documenting CONMED's End-to-End project execution process (IT Project Playbook), which encompasses process descriptions, stages and key decision points, roles & responsibilities, templates & tools, metrics, and other job aids as required. The Project Manager will oversee the execution of their assigned portfolio to ensure well-defined projects, positioned for success with proactive risk management throughout their life cycle. They will support the adoption of the Playbook by providing facilitation, coaching, and training to process participants using the Playbook to define and propose new projects. Additionally, they will conduct portfolio planning, prioritization, and new project launch approval, provide execution oversight and governance of in-flight projects, and perform project closeout activities, including value realization and lessons learned. The role also involves collecting and analyzing data, compiling material to support portfolio status tracking and oversight by Project governance bodies / Steering Committees IT Leadership Team (ITLT), and conducting periodic assessments of the effectiveness of CONMED's End-to-End project execution process while recommending improvements. Furthermore, the Project Manager will support CONMED IT Leadership Team (ITLT) operations by preparing agendas, coordinating ITLT meeting prework, capturing action items & decisions, and maintaining the ITLT repository.
