About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee Agile development teams on a DevOps support contract, ensuring effective product development and deployment. This role involves direct interaction with Agile ceremonies, vendor management, and quality assurance activities, while also addressing stakeholder requests and managing risks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee two to three Agile development teams on the client's DevOps support contract.
• Embed in Agile ceremonies to provide oversight for product development from setting PI objectives to supporting change approvals.
• Conduct production readiness reviews and ensure teams are prepared for successful deployments.
• Support vendor management and assist with administrative functions, including SLA compliance.
• Lead Quality Assurance activities for all software development in assigned teams.
• Interact directly with Agile Scrum Teams, supporting PI and Sprint planning, execution, and closeout.
• Ensure adherence to contract-established performance measures and the agency-established Agile Handbook.
• Help ensure efficient and timely software development to meet client-defined priorities and legislative mandates.
• Address ad hoc requests and data calls from stakeholders, including ACIOs and product owners.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in program or project management, with direct management of Agile software development teams.
• Experience with executing in Agile methodologies.
• Experience with managing project budgets, invoicing, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira.
• Experience with leading Quality Assurance reviews of delivered software and supporting documentation.
• Ability to identify risks proactively and recommend mitigating actions.
• Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and work collaboratively across functional areas.
