We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with a background in large enterprise IT organizations to provide IT project management services. This position will be responsible for the project management of our largest and most complex IT enterprise projects, which includes new/advanced cloud technologies projects and SOX audit projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of extensive enterprise experience with managing cloud technology and SOX audits. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management services across the IT project portfolio, including several key projects that require project management, along with our SOX audit and disaster recovery requirements. Weekly management of our Change Control process is also a requirement. The role requires creating short-term and long-term project plans, delegating tasks, making effective decisions, serving as a point of contact for teams, performing quality control, adjusting project schedules, reviewing SOX testing/requirements, and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Our ideal candidate is organized, accomplished, collaborative, and self-starting, with strong project leadership skills to hold key personnel accountable to project tasks and due dates. This is a challenging position with opportunities for leadership and management growth, and it may be remote within the continental United States.

Responsibilities

  • Create short-term and long-term project plans to include setting targets for milestones and adhering to project deadlines.
  • Delegate tasks on a given project to IT resources best positioned to complete them.
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with a given project.
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple resources are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain on target and on budget.
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout the project lifecycle to maintain the standards expected.
  • Adjust project schedules and tasks in response to changing needs and requirements demands.
  • Review SOX testing/requirements for key general IT controls (ITGCs) and IT application controls (ITACs) and manage audit requirements and subsequent audit remediation tasks.
  • Actively participate in the walkthrough of significant IT processes/applications and ensure SOX/supporting documentation is accurate and reflects risk, key controls, and current processes.
  • Assess deficiencies identified and work with process owners to identify an appropriate solution.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of enterprise IT project management in a large organization with complex and multiple business discipline resource management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT project management with IT Audit requirements, particularly managing IT audit remediation actions to timely completion.
  • Adept usage of project management tools (e.g. Click Up, Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Monday, etc.).
  • Proven experience in scoping difficult project management challenges and overcoming the challenges.
  • Significant experience with resource loading project plans to ensure scope, tasks, and time schedules are met against resource availability.
  • Served as a central point of contact for project teams when multiple resources are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain on task and on target.
  • Proven ability to hold resources and key personnel accountable to project tasks and due dates.

Nice-to-haves

  • A degree in Project Management or related discipline is desired but not required.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
