The IT Project Manager at Golden Entertainment is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget constraints. This role involves acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to ensure that projects are delivered according to the established plan. The IT Project Manager will define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle. A critical aspect of this position is gathering and documenting both system and functional requirements, as well as analyzing the system to ensure its functionality. The candidate must ensure that best business practices are utilized and that developers and vendors execute the requirements as stated. In this role, the IT Project Manager will direct the performance of requirements analysis, evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement effective solutions. The manager will document both business and functional requirements and manage project development from inception to completion. This includes defining project scopes, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. The IT Project Manager will also develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication documents, ensuring that project expectations are effectively communicated to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. The position requires estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, drafting and submitting budget proposals, and recommending budget changes when necessary. The IT Project Manager will negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel and assess the need for additional staff or consultants during the project cycle. The role also involves setting and managing project expectations with team members and stakeholders, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team. The IT Project Manager will track project milestones and deliverables, develop and deliver progress reports, and proactively manage changes in project scope while identifying potential crises and devising contingency plans. Additionally, the manager will ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies, and procedures, while providing outstanding guest service that meets the company's culture standards.
