About the position

The IT Project Manager at Amyx, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and managing projects within the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) / Implementation Support - West contract. This role involves planning, executing, and closing projects to meet specific goals and success criteria, while ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide planning and execution to control and close out the work of a team to achieve specific Mission Partner and internal DISA goals which meet specific predefined success criteria.
  • Support the production of a unique product, service or result within a defined beginning and end, usually time constrained and often constrained by funding undertaken to meet unique predefined objectives.
  • Provide project schedule support by defining/establishing the project baseline, maintain project schedules, develop project milestones and complete assigned work within the assigned timeline.
  • Provide distinct technical skills and management strategies to achieve project success.
  • Provide support for implementation activities for enterprise solutions, special projects and organizational changes to include: Project management, project plan development, engineering solution coordination, deployment, continuous process improvement, and system replacement support.
  • Develop Program Management Office (PMO) and project schedules, implementation plans, organization roles and responsibilities for assigned implementation efforts.
  • Analyze and quickly respond to requests for information/plans in a format acceptable to DISA and the Mission Partner within prescribed timeframes identified at the start of a project.

Requirements

  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • 5 years of relevant/recent IT Project Management experience with a focus in systems implementation
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: 3 years of relevant/recent IT Project Management experience with a focus in systems implementation AND a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college with a major in IT, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
