The IT Project Manager at Golden Entertainment Corporate is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects as per the defined plan. The IT Project Manager will define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle. A critical aspect of this position is to gather and document both system and functional requirements, ensuring that the system functions as intended. The candidate will ensure that best business practices are utilized and that developers and vendors execute the stated requirements effectively. In this role, the IT Project Manager will direct the performance of requirements analysis, evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions. They will document both business and functional requirements and manage project development from inception to completion. The IT Project Manager will define project scopes, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. They will develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication documents, ensuring effective communication of project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. The IT Project Manager will estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend budget changes when necessary. They will negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel and assess the need for additional staff or consultants during the project cycle. The role requires setting and managing project expectations with team members and stakeholders, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team. The IT Project Manager will track project milestones and deliverables, develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, and proactively manage changes in project scope while identifying potential crises and devising contingency plans. They will define project success criteria and communicate them to all involved parties throughout the project life cycle, reporting project status to IT management on all current and upcoming IT-related projects.
