About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee the development and execution of various projects within the organization, ensuring they align with business objectives and are completed on time and within budget. This role involves collaboration with site leaders, consultants, and engineering teams to manage project costs, schedules, and reporting effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and oversight of design and feasibility studies for projects.
• Develop and review project cost estimates and direct modifications as required.
• Prepare and review budgets for expenditures on outside consulting engineers and monitor their work.
• Provide effective communication with all site leaders.
• Review equipment specification recommendations and construction bid packages.
• Prepare and monitor controls on scheduling and project costs.
• Assemble periodic project reports and engineering activity summaries.
• Work with the Director of Engineering and Regional Operation Managers to evaluate and develop capital expenditure projects.
• Ensure projects are aligned with business unit objectives and completed safely within scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management within IT or engineering fields.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and cost estimation processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing project reports and documentation.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with capital expenditure projects.
• Familiarity with construction bid processes and equipment specifications.
