About the position

The IT Project Manager at Ada County is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within strict deadlines and budgets. This role involves coordinating resources, managing team members, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams, develops project charter, work plans, schedule, and budgets.
• Manages personnel, assigns work, reviews and evaluates performance, and resolves employee complaints.
• Projects may be managed using Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or other approved methods.
• Facilitates and develops effective project plans for implementation and operationalization.
• Analyzes complex competing tasks and determines sequencing according to risk factors and priorities.
• Produces and manages Gantt Chart tasks, timelines, project calendars, and project resources.
• Interacts with executive leadership to convey technical options and opportunities.
• Identifies decision-making issues and key stakeholders, developing strategies to encourage stakeholder awareness and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• Two years of Project Manager experience, including experience with measurement processes for assessing project outcomes.
• PMP or PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Experience interpreting complex technical material for business stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams to successful solution implementations.
