About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager for our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position that requires a highly organized individual with strong project management skills to oversee complex Merchant Services projects. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end technology for various programs and projects, ensuring that all deliverables are met and that the projects align with the overall business objectives. In this role, the IT Project Manager will perform project management responsibilities related to information technology implementations, upgrades, conversions, and recovery efforts. The individual will have direct and matrixed execution responsibility across all technology organizations, as well as act as the Line of Business (LOB) Portfolio/Program Manager on the business side for delivering the program/projects. The manager will handle multiple projects or a single major project, managing release activities and ensuring all MRA2 required deliverables are completed for acceptance and entry into the release. The IT Project Manager will work closely with the Service Delivery Lead and Analysts to align Merchant Services Performance Indicators (MSPIs) assigned to a release. They will solicit and assist AIT application owners with release Change Request (CRQ) submissions and track progress. Additionally, the manager will request and receive AIT estimates for releases, confirming funding commitments, and coordinate and oversee release weekend activities, including control room operations, status reports, and defect monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex Merchant Services suite of projects.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of applicable experience in project management.
  • Technical knowledge of SDLC/Agile methodologies.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and navigate at all levels in the organization.
  • Executive reporting and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with critical thinking abilities at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Experience delivering large projects with significant impact to multiple lines of business, with cross-functional or inter-departmental implications.
