About the position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for delivering strategic IT investments, specifically leading the integration and conversion workstreams for the Customer Information System (CIS) solution implementation. This role involves collaboration with internal business users, IT peers, technology vendors, and industry leaders to execute innovative technology solutions that enhance customer service, billing, accounting, finance, and risk performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team of internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful execution of conversions and integrations.
• Ensure project activities and deliverables are completed on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Proactively manage resource plan to ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop and maintain detailed integration and conversion components of project plans to track activities and report progress.
• Produce regular status reports for communication with project team, PMO, sponsors, and steering committee.
• Use verification techniques to track, manage, and communicate changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
• Work with business stakeholders and project team to prioritize activities and deliverables based on agreed scope and requirements.
• Measure and communicate project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Review and update RAID log regularly to mitigate integration and conversion risks and escalate issues as needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors during project execution.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience in a Business and Technical Environment or 10+ years in a similar environment.
• 5-10 years of demonstrated SAP S/4 project experience with an understanding of system integrations and conversions.
• 5-10 years of experience as an IT project manager in a matrix environment, working with clients and third parties.
• Excellent project management skills with experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects using waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Gas Industry with project management experience in implementation.
• Experience in maintaining a detailed project plan in a hybrid waterfall/agile project.
• Experience managing complex technical implementations with multiple integrations to cloud and legacy systems.
• Graduate degree in Information Systems or related discipline.
• PMI certification/training.
• Experience leading in a matrix environment.
• Regulated utility operations experience.
