About the position

The IT Project Manager at Network Designs Inc. (NDi) is responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific IT projects within a Federal operational environment. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support program managers and Federal leaders in maintaining and modernizing IT systems and networks, ensuring that customer requirements are met and expectations exceeded. The Project Manager will provide leadership, assure quality deliverables, and make technically sound recommendations based on industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and engage with all stakeholders to achieve defined project outcomes.
  • Develop the project charter and project management plan, ensuring adequate definition of business requirements, project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff in a matrixed organization.
  • Develop and maintain project schedule baseline and manage subsequent changes.
  • Define and prioritize project tasks and resource requirements, hosting daily scrum meetings and other team meetings.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and provide direction and support to the project team.
  • Develop testing methodologies for the Quality Assurance Plan and monitor project timelines.
  • Monitor and report on project progress regularly, presenting dashboard reports defining project status, issues, and resolutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes to achieve desired outputs and close projects, ensuring all artifacts are reviewed and accepted by the customer.
  • Evaluate project results and prepare detailed project summaries and lessons learned for future reference.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field plus a minimum of 5 years of experience, or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in project management best practices and tools, including Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and related management tools for Agile development operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in producing clear documentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • CSM, SAFe, or other Agile certification preferred.
  • Experience managing medium to large Federal projects involving business intelligence, software applications, and IT operations programs.
  • Azure or other cloud-related experience.
  • Data migration experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience.
