About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope. The role involves consulting with senior management to evaluate current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. The IT Project Manager will lead the business management function within a division of GBT, which includes management routines, financial management, event management, employee engagement, and workforce planning and management. In this position, the IT Project Manager will prepare Technology executives for the full range of engagements with peers, senior leaders, and business partners as needed. They will coordinate between GT Teams to ensure alignment with objectives and manage routines and requests effectively. The role also requires managing and driving the production of consistent and appropriate documentation for routines for Technology Executives and business partners. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will support GCIBT executives in managing their BAU expenses and governing their initiative portfolio, ensuring visibility of project progress against objectives and tracking decisions/approvals to forecast changes. The IT Project Manager will partner with GCIBT executives and the business to deliver a strategic agenda, monitor performance, and manage costs. They will drive strategies to effectively manage spend, ensuring the proper mix of consulting to full-time staff, manage tenure, and governance of staff ramps. Developing robust and consistent communication and engagement plans for the executives and teams supported is also a key responsibility. The IT Project Manager must understand the linkage of programs and projects to business strategy and portfolio priorities, ensuring roadmaps are translated into robust delivery milestones. Finally, they will facilitate headcount planning to onboarding.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices
  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills, including the ability to make effective presentations
  • Analytical, organized and have the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced/Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience handling multiple facets of an end to end business
