About the position

The IT Project Manager at Ohio Deferred Compensation is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing technical projects to ensure alignment between IT and business objectives. This role involves leading project teams, managing project scopes, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. The position may offer the flexibility to work from home based on business needs and supervisor approval.

Responsibilities

  • Leads daily stand-up meetings and provides oversight on daily business activities, facilitating team cooperation to overcome any roadblocks.
  • Provides business support by triaging reported issues and requests relating to applications, infrastructure, security, or outages and prioritizing/delegating them.
  • Develops project scope, time estimates, and work plans to meet business objectives.
  • Works with IT Manager on strategic planning for long-term strategy, direction, and objectives.
  • Gains agreement and sets expectations for business users on timelines for feature rollouts, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Helps to manage releases and creates release notes for each major release.
  • Conducts post implementation meetings to identify lessons learned to inform the success of future projects.
  • Provides assistance organizing business continuity/disaster recovery-related activities.
  • Supports rotating on-call activities for PWP uptime.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (direct relevant experience can be substituted for education).
  • 4 years of related experience in project management and technical roles.
  • 5 years' experience working on application development projects.
  • 5 years' experience in a technical project management role.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with scope management, work estimation, and delegation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business users to resolve issues.
  • Experience in collaborating with team members to find optimal solutions.
  • Vendor management and process optimization skills.
  • Ability to shift quickly between competing priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to learn on the fly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with .NET Framework/.NET technologies, Angular, and SQL Server.
