About the position

The IT Project Manager will oversee and coordinate technology-related projects within a healthcare setting, ensuring that IT standards and business needs are met throughout the Planning, Design, and Construction phases. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including Construction Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers, to manage project schedules, budgets, and milestones effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Construction Project Managers, Integration Project Managers, and Project Coordinators throughout project phases.
  • Manage financial budgets for IT resources and equipment.
  • Maintain project schedules for IT resources and their activities.
  • Ensure alignment of IT milestones with the Construction Crew's schedule.
  • Conduct bi-weekly status reporting and manage high-level project status in the IT PMO project portfolio.
  • Maintain project artifacts on the Project SharePoint site.
  • Participate in project gating milestones and quality reviews.
  • Proactively track and manage project issues and risks.
  • Engage confidently with various levels of the organization and handle complex environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years managing complex information technology infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Project Management Life Cycle including project gating and quality reviews.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and/or Smartsheet, MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, Teams, and PPM Pro or similar software.
  • Understanding of waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with construction and ability to read blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of change management methods.
  • Expert knowledge of problem-solving approaches.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three (3) years of healthcare experience, healthcare technology support, implementation, and/or healthcare systems.
  • Research experience for Research IT PMs.
  • Clinical applications experience such as Nurse Call, Philips Monitoring, etc.
