About the position

The IT Project Manager at CVS Health is responsible for managing complex IT initiatives and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong analytical and project management skills, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving. The manager will lead project teams, oversee planning and execution, and communicate project status to stakeholders, all while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Project manage the delivery of technology projects or initiatives ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and deliver the expected value.
• Oversee detailed project plan development, following iterative development guidelines, and track timelines and milestones with key partners.
• Champion leadership in partnering with other Project Leads to coordinate day-to-day initiative progress and address challenges.
• Interface with other projects to modify plans as necessary to ensure coordination of cross-functional dependencies.
• Work with stakeholders to define and acquire necessary resources and ensure their support for project goals.
• Conduct regular project reviews and communicate project status to track and drive overall team progress.
• Forecast resource allocations weekly while maintaining project budget.
• Oversee Agile Management resources and contractors as well as matrixed project team members.

Requirements

• Background in IT Program management, budget management, and execution.
• Understanding of software development methodologies including agile methodologies.
• 4+ years of technology delivery management experience with cross-functional teams on large complex IT products/software.
• SCRUM Certified.
• Proficient in Project Management tracking tools (Project, Rally, Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Understanding of Portfolio Financials and Financial Models (Costs and Savings).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all functions and levels.

Nice-to-haves

• Understanding of software development methodologies.
• Project Management experience in the Healthcare industry.
• Project Management experience delivering IT projects requiring deployment of IT Infrastructure solutions, including cloud technology.
• PMP and SAFe Agile certification.
