About the position

The IT Project Manager at Children's Hunger Fund is responsible for overseeing and managing various IT projects, particularly focusing on Salesforce implementations and integrations. This role is crucial in ensuring that IT solutions align with the organization's mission to support local churches in their mercy ministry efforts. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with cross-departmental teams to streamline processes, maintain IT system integrity, and deliver high-quality project outcomes while also serving as the primary Salesforce administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage IT projects, including Salesforce implementations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-departmental teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and status updates with stakeholders and team members.
  • Act as the Salesforce subject matter expert and Administrator in all Salesforce projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key organizational stakeholders and outside vendors.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by regularly updating project progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders in decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the overall health and performance of the Salesforce CRM system.
  • Own the release management process, including testing, deployment, and post-release support.
  • Configure new features and functionalities in Salesforce to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues within the Salesforce platform.
  • Provide ongoing user support and training to ensure effective system usage and adoption.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and other departments to ensure smooth communication.
  • Prepare and present project updates and performance metrics to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator with relevant certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Information Technology roles with a focus on project management and Salesforce administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, including configuring and managing Salesforce environments.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce features such as workflows, process builder, reports, dashboards, and data management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience training employees and managing departmental and cross-departmental projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment.
  • Experience in roles such as Salesforce user, Analyst, and/or Administrator.
  • Advanced Salesforce Administrator certification.
