About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an IT Project Manager for a contract position in the financial industry. The role involves managing and delivering projects of moderate to high complexity, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across multiple teams, and meeting client expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to influence senior leadership while maintaining a focus on project management standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of a material change for a project of moderate to high complexity within a single or multiple departments.
• Manage, lead and direct the work efforts of resources that may be functionally aligned as part of the project and/or organizationally aligned as direct reports.
• Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams to deliver the intended project solution.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver defined deliverables requiring engagement from multiple teams.
• Communicate work objectives, coordinate delivery, manage risks, and provide visibility into the health of the deliverables.
• Ensure execution and delivery meet client expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.
• Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery, such as kick-offs, status reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for defined deliverables.
• Promote communication and collaboration across organizations to support deliverable completion and timeline.
• Gather and facilitate status updates for stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
• Ensure execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards.
• Support resource planning for delivery and execution.
• Communicate and interact with stakeholders to drive initiatives to conclusion.
• Accountable for developing plans to deliver future state approaches and facilitating implementation.
• Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows.

Requirements

• 5 - 7 years of experience in project management.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor solutions to ensure deadlines are met and risks are addressed.
• Strong presentation skills, including preparing compelling presentations to senior-level executives.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and proactive initiative.
• Executive presence and ability to lead meetings.
• Ability to influence senior leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of project management standards and processes in a complex program environment.
• Experience working in SOR development.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with Agile and waterfall frameworks.
• Strong sense of quality and commitment to effective client interaction.
• Proficient in problem analysis and solution design.
