About the position

As an IT Project Manager at Visions Federal Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various IT projects that align with the organization's strategic goals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to define project objectives, develop detailed project plans, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in project management methodologies, particularly Agile principles, will be essential in driving project success and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them proactively. You will facilitate project meetings, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and ensure that all project documentation is maintained accurately. Additionally, you will be expected to mentor and guide team members, promoting best practices in project management and encouraging professional development within the team. The IT Project Manager will also be involved in resource allocation, ensuring that the right personnel are assigned to projects based on their skills and availability. You will work closely with vendors and external partners to coordinate project activities and ensure that deliverables meet quality standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in this role, as you will need to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and scope.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
  • Mentor and guide team members in project management best practices.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners for project activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • 12 months of experience as a Design Engineer, Senior Process and Data Analyst, or related role.
  • Certified project management professional or eligibility for certification.
  • Familiarity with network topology, data flow diagram documentation, encryption standards, and information security concepts.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including Agile principles.
