The technical project manager is responsible for leading IT and OT projects across various domains including end-user computing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and networking. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives. The project manager will utilize strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing project plans, overseeing execution, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Weekly updates will be presented to IT leadership to ensure that objectives are met and any issues are promptly addressed. In this position, the project manager will build and develop project teams for optimal performance by providing clear purpose, direction, and motivation. They will lead projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that all aspects are performing to expectations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to identify requirements, scope, financial budgets, and monthly forecasts comprehensively. The project manager will develop project plans, establish baselines, and identify critical paths, risks, and corresponding mitigation strategies. Monitoring and tracking project status, milestones, tasks, and financial budgets against established baselines is a key responsibility. The project manager will address action items and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, while also tracking monthly schedule and budget metrics. They will notify IT leadership of any issues that may prevent timely and budget-compliant project completion. Additionally, the project manager will assist the team in removing roadblocks and perform monthly resource planning, reporting any workload and resource issues promptly. The role also involves following the change management process for any alterations to scope, schedule, and budget, conducting contract management, and verifying that scope, requirements, and durations are clearly outlined in contracts. Weekly updates to project schedules in Smartsheet and project slides for the weekly status presentation are required, along with reporting project milestone status, budget, issues, and risks to IT leadership. Vendor relationships and contracts will be managed, with consistent reviews and monitoring of vendor performance.
