The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing various projects within the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. This role involves developing comprehensive project budgets, schedules, work plans, resource requirements, cost estimates, and cost projections. The IT Project Manager will monitor and manage the quality of applications, actively seeking continuous improvement measures and identifying root causes for any issues that arise. It is essential that the project deliverables are acceptable, fulfill the terms of team agreements, and remain within budget constraints. Effective communication is a critical aspect of this role. The IT Project Manager will routinely communicate with management, customers, project team members, and other stakeholders, ensuring that feedback is actively solicited and addressed. This includes regular communication with external stakeholders and overseeing necessary reporting. Monthly communication with internal stakeholders and as needed with the Quarterly Assurance Monitoring team is also required. In addition to communication, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for problem management, issue resolution, and risk identification and mitigation. The role requires empowering and motivating the team to foster a sense of ownership over the application. The IT Project Manager will communicate a clear vision of all projects to the executive management team, customers, and project team members. Furthermore, the position involves coordinating the initiation and planning of diverse projects to meet strategic application and technology roadmap commitments.
