About the position

The IT Project Manager at TruGreen is responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of various IT projects. This role ensures that projects align with the organization's strategy and goals, while also managing resources and communication among project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and control of multiple large or highly complex IT projects to successful completion.
  • Establish work plans for each phase of the project and issue direction to the project team.
  • Assign tasks, goals, and responsibilities to project team members for research, development, budgeting, and scheduled delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison between project team members, business partners, and technical resources.
  • Provide ongoing strategic direction and budgeting to the project team.
  • Track progress and update project management software and communication logs with deliverables and artifacts created during project execution.
  • Report issues, delays, and developments that may affect project completion, escalating problems as appropriate to management and clients.
  • Establish plans to mitigate project risks and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to project-related governance processes and facilitate the sharing of resources, methodologies, and tools.
  • Assist with documenting policies, controls, and processes established or revised by the PMO.
  • Produce project status reports and baseline expectations for project management processes by type, success metrics, and related documentation.
  • Actively participate in evaluating and improving the Project Management Methodology defined and utilized by the PMO.
  • Travel to project sites to document current operations and assess site needs and updates (less than 20% travel).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-6 years of project management experience.
  • 1-3 years of IT experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with different types of data mapping and integration activities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
