About the position

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple IT projects within the organization. This role requires a strong leader with a minimum of three years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, specifically managing project teams. The IT Project Manager will be expected to manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on a hybrid approach that includes 75% Waterfall and 25% Agile methodologies. This position is critical in ensuring that projects are aligned with the PMO framework and are delivered on time and within budget. In this role, the IT Project Manager will develop detailed project schedules using MS Project, ensuring that all project milestones are met. The manager will also be responsible for tracking developer progress and monitoring schedule and cost variances to ensure that projects remain on track. The ability to manage 2-3 projects simultaneously is essential, as is the capacity to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. The IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and collaboration, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. This position is based in Nashville, TN, and requires an onsite presence. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering IT projects successfully. The role is expected to last for a duration of 6+ months, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact within the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience with project management tools, specifically MS Project.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
